I’m still learning about all of the Presidential candidates both Republican and Democrat. I don’t admit to knowing a lot about him except that he’s the former conservative governor of Massachusetts, a rather liberal state that was the first to allow gay marriage a few years ago. What I’ve learned today is that he’s quite similar to President Bush in the sense that speaking off the cuff is not necessarily his forte.
Have a look at this. It lists some of his funniest gaffes over the past few months. My favourite has to be “How Green is Your Reich?â€? Somehow on the topic of energy Mr Romney gets on to Hitler’s scientific achievements. A reporter noted that “you wouldn’t think that anyone running for president would have to be told, ‘Don’t mention Hitler in a positive light.’â€? That’s just hysterical but also slightly un-nerving.
One final thing: is it just me or does Romney just look too slick, too perfected, too tan? Then again, I suppose some might have said that about John F. Kennedy back forty years ago. He won the first televised Presidential debate against Nixon on his looks alone it is argued. Still, Romney doesn’t look trustworthy to me…not that I’ll be voting Republican anyway.
