I’m sorry, but I have to put up a link to this op-ed piece by…drumroll please…Fidel Castro. Please, if you’re from the US, don’t blacklist me or order my exile from the country. Just be open-minded and read the piece. It’s quite short. The main reason I am posting it is the math Castro uses to show how many doctors might be trained and, thus, how many people might receive medical care with the money Bush gets each year for the Iraq war is staggering. I’m not sorry to agree with Castro at least in principle on medical care and, especially, that ‘ideas cannot be killed.’ However,”I am not today nor have I ever been a member of the Communist Party.”
