Please don’t stone me

I’m sorry, but I have to put up a link to this op-ed piece by…drumroll please…Fidel Castro. Please, if you’re from the US, don’t blacklist me or order my exile from the country. Just be open-minded and read the piece. It’s quite short. The main reason I am posting it is the math Castro uses to show how many doctors might be trained and, thus, how many people might receive medical care with the money Bush gets each year for the Iraq war is staggering. There’s also this, which I found fairly humourous

When [Bush] was recently asked by an important personality about his Cuba policy, his answer was this: “I am a hard-line president and I am just waiting for Castro’s demise.” The wishes of such a powerful gentleman are no privilege. I am not the first nor will I be the last that Bush has ordered to be killed…

I’m not sorry to agree with Castro at least in principle on medical care and, especially, that ‘ideas cannot be killed.’ However,”I am not today nor have I ever been a member of the Communist Party.”
