Oh my God I hate Peta, I hate them so so much. As if we didn’t have enough to worry about in this world, apparently, we now have to ensure we take a fish’s feelings into account.
A little while ago, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals launched its Empathy Project, a campaign designed to make people more aware of the feelings of fish.
Give me a freaking break. I like fish, don’t get me wrong. They’re fun to watch and man do they taste good. But I am not sorry one bit if, as I stare at the fish staring back at me in a tank at the London Aquarium, I don’t think to myself ‘hmmm I wonder how he feels in there.’ It has a home, it gets fed, it’s a happy little chappy as far as I’m concerned and I am not going to lose any sleep over its ‘feelings.’
