Post on CNN’s political ticker ‘blog’ today about presidential candidate Fred Thompson in which he claims Saddam Hussein did have WMD and if he hadn’t been removed would be ready to start a nuclear war with America at this point. I find it funny that he really seems to like the word ‘clearly.’ Have a read:
Clearly we did not go in with enough people, with the right strategy
We can’t forget the fact that although at a particular point in time we never found any WMD down there, he clearly had had WMD.
By today, Thompson continued, [Hussein] clearly would have had that rejuvenated; especially looking at what Iran says that it’s doing.
Well clearly, Fred, I think you’re an idiot. He obviously hasn’t paid much attention over the past several years we’ve been in Iraq to notice the clear lack of any weapons of mass destruction, the tools with which to make them or any other evidence that clearly showed Hussein had any intention of developing them. I don’t like Fred Thompson or anything he stands for. I hope I’ve made myself clear.
“Well clearly, Fred, I think you’re an idiot.”
Clearly, that was funny.
