I’m going to do it!

For those who don’t know me, I’m a smoker, a heavy one at times. I’ve finally decided to give up. I start tomorrow. I’ve got lozenges and what I’m pretty sure is willpower. I’m actually somewhat excited about it. So in order to help me I’ve decided to detour this blog for a bit and use it as a diary of sorts if I need to vent about my experiences and feelings while the dreaded nicotine leaves my body. I probably will still write the occasional ‘normal’ post but I hope writing out what I’ve experienced will help me deal with things.

It may be boring as hell and not worth writing or reading but we’ll see. If nothing else those who know me and read this blog know that I’m giving it a go. I may not be successful this first time but I’ve always got the new drug Champix as a backup. My mother has been 30 days without a cigarette and she’s smoked for 40 years. If she can do it, so can I!!! Wish me luck!

Be sure to drink plenty of water – water will help cleanse the body of the toxins as you are quitting and hopefully help you get thru the worst of the withdrawal and maybe even lessen them some with the hydration!!!

Yeah to you! And yeah to your mom too!! That is so great! I am quitting too and honestly after the first 3 or 4 days it isn’t as hard as I thought. I know you can do it. I am proud of you!
