Unfortunate Middle Names

Very funny. It’s animated so watch for a few seconds to see it all.

What an idiot…

“That’s interesting. I hadn’t heard that.” President George Bush saying he was unaware of predictions of $4-a-gallon gasoline in the coming months. Link.
Don’t you have advisors? Do you listen to them? Or do you drift off into dream land where you are in a ten-gallon hat and chaps shooting up ‘evil-doers’ with your six-shooter?

What a prick

The video and article speak for themselves. Nice to see McCain denouncing the comments but I think we all know that if this man is getting up in support of you, he’s not a total stranger and his ideas aren’t necessarily all that far off from your own.

I see relatively famous people

Three times now around the London Bridge area I have seen minor celebrities. Twice I have seen Matt Berry from the IT Crowd. His IMDB page doesn’t have a picture so here’s one from the IT Crowd website. I think he lives nearby due to the two times and the fact he’s been carrying shopping.
Now [...]

It’s funny how things change

When Hillary Clinton entered the Presidential nomination last year a lot of people probably thought the nomination was sewn up then and there. Hillary Clinton would, more than likely, be the Democratic nominee in 2008. These people are now starting to look very, very wrong. Clinton’s chances are waning daily.
She’s now lashing out at the [...]

Please leave it to the pros

Why?! Why does Ralph Nader always have to come in and ruin perfectly legitimate democracy with his annoyingness?! Most of us remember his role in the 2000 debacle. Look what we got then! Now he’s decided to throw his hat into the ring yet again, in what is one of the most fruitless campaigns this [...]

Have you ever noticed?

That the UN only seems to condemn things? From BBC News this morning:
The UN Security Council has condemned “in the strongest terms” attacks by protesters against embassies in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
I’m sure the protestors are quaking in their boots at the ’strongest terms’ condemnation. The thing is, it’s not just the UN. Think back [...]

Hi, I’m still alive

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I guess even I get bored with the US election. It’s kind of to the point where I just want to know whether it’ll be Clinton or Obama.
General personal information for anyone interested: I’ve lost 9 pounds on my diet/exercise regime. Hooray! I’m training to be able to [...]

Maybe there is a bias

Well, quite frankly, everyone knows the Guardian is quite a left-leaning newspaper. I mean there’s the whole ‘granola-eating, sandals-with-socks-wearing, hippy Guardian reader’ stereotype. I consider myself somewhat liberal, though, so I don’t mind. I like the Guardian.
But today I noticed this headline on their website: Climate change soon could kill thousands in UK, says report. It’s [...]

And the winner is…no one

Well, we all knew that Super Tuesday probably wasn’t going to decide anything on the Democratic side. It has also only put McCain in front-runner position; it’s still not entirely sewn up there either. How exciting!
I am about to make a prediction. It’s the first one I’ve made publicly during this election campaign and it [...]
