It’s funny how things change

When Hillary Clinton entered the Presidential nomination last year a lot of people probably thought the nomination was sewn up then and there. Hillary Clinton would, more than likely, be the Democratic nominee in 2008. These people are now starting to look very, very wrong. Clinton’s chances are waning daily.

She’s now lashing out at the media for what her campaign feels is very biased coverage. They are claiming that Obama’s campaign is going negative but is being applauded for it. Not being in the states at the moment and, therefore, only having mainstream media to provide me with information, it all seems a bit desperate and that Clinton has by far been the most negative. No campaign is ever wholly positive. There’s always an attack on a fellow candidate lurking somewhere. I’m sure both she and Obama have made negative comments in the past few months.

The point is, though, that Clinton is starting to sound like the sore loser. She’s starting to sound like all other candidates fighting a losing battle. She’s starting to sound whiny. ‘The media doesn’t like me.’ ‘His campaign is so negative.’ ‘Shame on you Obama.’ The list goes on; that last one being a direct quote. Now, obviously, I’m rather biased because I’m an Obama supporter. I’ll freely admit it though. But I digress.

The point of this post was to say that isn’t it interesting how Clinton was once the anointed one but has now dipped so. The background for this post came from this op-ed piece from the Washington Post. Interesting reading.
