Democracy: Russian style

Voting figures any politician would love to see:

With nearly 100% of the ballots counted, Mr Medvedev won 70.23% of the vote, Russia’s election commission said.

Widespread accusations, of course, of election rigging including coercion to vote and stuffing ballot boxes abound. Russia, as usual, will get a stern look from observers like the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has already done but they’ll go on ahead and we’ll all work with Putin’s successor over the next few years until another election comes around and Medvedev’s successor gets in with record numbers.
