Finally, finally, finally after eight long, torturous (literally for some) years the Bush administration has come to an end. Today marks not only the beginning of the Obama administration but, hopefully, the beginning of America’s rebirth. This may not be as a superpower for that ship sailed some time ago, but as a world leader again. Leaders are those you look up to and aspire to be. For the past eight years America has not been a leader. It may have led battles in Afghanistan and Iraq and it may have led while others followed but it was not truly a leader. I don’t like that so much has been put on Obama’s shoulders. No president is perfect and he will make mistakes. I can only say that today is a new day and I’m proud to be an American again. The king is dead; long live the king.
