We’re getting a bit ‘Seasick’

My husband is currently, shall we say, obsessed with the blues man Seasick Steve. He’s an American who has lived all over, including riding the rails like a hobo, and now resides in Norway with his wife. He looks like a proper country bumpkin and I don’t think has any front teeth. Nonetheless, he’s a pretty darn good blues man, playing on a three-string guitar for a lot of his music. He’s become somewhat of a sensation or phenomenon here in the UK and has even played Glastonbury. Glastonbury is the Lollapalooza of Britain, though it goes back even further. A better comparison might be the original Woodstock if it had been held every year since.

Anyway, we’re going to see him on Saturday night at the Hammersmith Apollo. He’s so unique that I thought I’d share this with you. Here’s a link to his website and below is, I think, his first performance in the UK on the Jools Holland show. This is what made him a star I believe.

Oooooh! Josh and I watched the video together and we like him! How was the show?

I would have never thought Tim would be into music like that. What a good man! That makes me like him even more. ;)

Also, “Seasick Steve” is pretty much the best name ever for a bluesman.

    OK. I am done.
