Oh…my…God it’s bloody cold out there. I ran home from work today: five miles at slow pace but it’s very hilly. In the first mile it began to snow. It wasn’t horrible; in fact it was kind of pretty. Mumford and Sons ‘Winter Winds’ had just finished and ‘Little Lion Man’ had just come on. It was quite motivating and enjoyable. Enjoy some Mumford and Sons below. But then, as I got closer to home and turned north, the wind started to blow straight through me. It doesn’t matter how good at wicking away sweat your clothing is, when the wind blows on damp fabric it is bloody freezing. My husband and I are off to Norway at the end of the month and I’m now sat writing this in my wooly socks, base layer leggings, base layer top and a fleece trying to get warm. I am now counting down to spring. The only good thing is that the days are getting lighter so almost 3/4 of my run was in light rather than dark this evening. That is always nice. Enjoy the music.
Oooh, I really love the music. Where are they from Wales or Ireland? They have that sound. Sorry you froze to death today. Maybe this will be the last of the really nasty weather (cold, cold) that you’ll have to train in. Take care of yourself. MOM
They’re English.
